It’s not essential. Livegrid is primarily a plug and play product which requires zero operation and connectivity. However if you are itching to customise it and try other things with it, just follow the steps in the quickstart guide and you will be in.
Using an internal sensor - the SCD40. It’s a precise, high quality sensor often used in lab-grade equipment. The data stays in the device and is not sent to any server.

No, but you can easily plug a standard USB power bank, just make sure it can output 5V 3A(15 Watts). A 10,000mAh power bank will run the panel for almost 25-50 hours depending on the brightness and operations. We are working on adding a compartment in the back where you can place the battery securely.

Shipping and Returns
All Livegrids are assembled by hand in London, UK by a very small team. We ship within 1 week — usually within 2 days, though the framed versions can take a little longer. Shipping is free worldwide.
Send an email to contact@livegrid.tech and we’ll help you return it using your original box within 30 days of purchase. Due to high international shipping costs, international returns are only available if there is a defect in the device.
Each Livegrid includes a 1-year limited warranty on manufacturing defects and hardware malfunctions from the date of purchase. It does not cover accidental damage, misuse, or unauthorised modifications. To make a claim, email contact@livegrid.tech with your order number and a short description of the issue. Yes — shipping is free worldwide, from the UK to select countries. One thing to know: if you are ordering from outside the UK, your country may charge import duties, VAT, or other taxes when the parcel arrives. These are set by your local customs, not by us, so we can't include them upfront.
